About the property
Pine Lodge is located on a privately owned estate in an idyllic part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Boasting breathtaking views down Glen Dochart, across Loch Lubhair and over the mountains, it is a wonderful Highlands retreat for a small family to enjoy. From the cabin’s Scottish Larch cladding to contemporary decor combined with Farrow and Ball colours and luxurious hotel-style touches such as eye masks and fluffy bathrobes, every detail is a treat. Why not hire a weather-proof BBQ hut and enjoy a real fuel charcoal BBQ experience for all your friends and family. Seating up to 16 people with all cutlery, crockery and cooking condiments provided, it's the perfect daytime or evening activity for celebrations or sociable occasions.
New for 2025 - enjoy our outdoor sauna experience with a cold water plunge barrel with family and friends. This can be hired for exclusive use in advance or booked when you arrive.
The space
On entering via the front entrance, you’ll find a utility room with useful coat and boot racks for drying out clothing, should the weather not have been kind to you. There is an open plan layout to the living, dining and kitchen area which is ideal for spending quality time with the kids. The galley-style kitchen is fully equipped with Bosch appliances such as a double oven, under-counter fridge, freezer and dishwasher, as well as a Nespresso coffee maker. Meanwhile, the plump sofa and stylish armchairs are the perfect places to relax and watch a film on the wall-mounted LCD TV, a Blu Ray DVD or online stream with the Starlink satellite broadband.
No doubt though, your eyes will be drawn towards the views framed by the floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors that lead out to a raised decking area which is a great place for alfresco dining.
There are two bedrooms with the master featuring a king-sized bed, wardrobe space and an en-suite shower room with a bespoke oak vanity unit and shower cubicle lined with hand-cut glass tiles. Bedroom two has two single beds with storage space beneath them, as well as wardrobe space. Beds feature luxurious pocket-sprung mattresses with a cashmere topper, goose down duvets and Egyptian cotton linen to ensure a good night’s sleep. There is also a separate bathroom with a bath and a power shower over it.
Guest access
Guests are invited to check-in remotely before travelling and will receive full directions on how to reach the property. On arrival at Pine Cabin parking is at the rear of the cabin where there is ramp access to the front door.
The estate owner and his family live on-site and are available to help you make the most of your stay.
Sustainability
The privately owned estate on which the cabin is located attracts plenty of wildlife including deer, pine martens and red squirrels, which you might spot if you are lucky. Guests are encouraged to recycle their food waste into the composting bins on the estate and can also purchase bird food to feed feathered friends back at their cabin. Nuts and fat balls can also be purchased at the on-site visitor centre, whilst you can even pay to have a tree planted on the estate in your name. In addition, guests of Pine Cabin are encouraged to collect vegetable peelings in the container provided and deposit them at one of the compost bins around the estate, to help with recycling.
We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.
