Borgo Santa Maria is a holiday and relaxation centre resulting from a skilful and accurate architectural recovery of old farmhouses built in stone and brick over the centuries. Immersed in the green Umbrian countryside, just a stone's throw from Tuscany, it is the ideal place to spend a holiday immersed in nature and art tourism.
You can lie by the edge of the swimming pool, play bowls, read a book under a walnut tree or sip a glass of wine in peace, but as soon as you have regained your strength, you will have the chance to get to know and love this land.
The charm of the old farmhouse can be felt immediately upon entering the houses, whose walls, sponged in warm, melancholy colours, envelop the guest³'s eye, instilling a reassuring warmth. The ceilings preserve the old texture of wooden tiles and beams. The atmosphere of the living rooms, with their terracotta floors and old brick fireplaces, is inviting, as is the furnishings with furniture from the past and straw-bottomed chairs.
The attention to detail is complemented by the comfort of a completely new and modern building with many amenities such as electrical appliances, safe, double glazing, satellite TV with national and foreign channels, independent heating and numerous services.
Ecological tourism and environmental awareness
a great deal of attention has been paid to the environment, so that since 2012 all the electricity consumed has been produced by the photovoltaic plant located in nearby fields. In addition, guests can pick their own organic seasonal produce from the garden and orchard, savouring the best that is produced in a simple and natural way.
