LOCATION

The house is located in a rural area 3.5 km from the town of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach, restaurants and cafés.

Ponta do Sol is in the south-western part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

In the vicinity it is possible to practice various outdoor activities, such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

The property has access to the main roads.


OBSERVATIONS

The swimming pool can be heated on request with a supplement (minimum 5 days). The request to heat the pool must be made at least 5 days in advance and will be confirmed with acknowledgement of payment. On cold days, the pool heating may not be sufficient to reach 27ºC.

Cleaning is done prior to entry and there is a weekly clean, which includes a change of bed linen and towels.

Due to the climate, there are also insects and geckos in the rural surroundings, which can be attracted by food scraps. For those who are not comfortable with the presence of insects and geckos, we do not recommend accommodation in a rural area.

People who are sensitive to mosquito bites are advised to use insect repellent when travelling around the island.


CONDITIONS

1. Parties and behaviour that disturbs the peace and well-being of neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10pm and 8am when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, the time of arrival and the means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival times is available via a key safe whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For in-person check-in, an appointment is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be booked according to our availability.

4. Guests may be asked to present identification upon arrival and to provide missing identification data to fulfil legal requirements.

5. Guests must inform us of any allergies, conditions or special needs before or immediately after booking in order to verify compliance and appropriate measures can be taken.
