Ocean View Cottage is a small, recently renovated cottage that is recommended for hikers, mountain bikers, surfers and those who want to get away from urban centres.

The cottage has a floor area of around 60 m2 on two floors. On the upper floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed and a common area with two single beds, which can accommodate up to 4 people. On the lower floor, there is a living room with a dining table, a kitchen and a bathroom.

Outside, there is a spacious backyard with a barbecue and a parking area. The backyard overlooks the sea and offers a privileged place to watch the sunset.

The house is equipped with a fridge, washing machine, hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi (with 4G -50 Mbps router), TV with international channels and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxing stay.


LOCATION

The house is located in a small remote village with rural surroundings.

The Precipicio restaurant is 1.2 kilometres away, and Paul do Mar, 5 kilometres away, has a wide range of restaurants, cafés and bars.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and laurel forest for nature lovers.

For hikers and mountain bikers, there are recommended walking routes and mountain bike trails just a few kilometres away, particularly in Paul da Serra. For surfers, Paul do Mar is just 5 km away.


OBSERVATIONS

Cleaning is done before check-in and there is weekly cleaning, which includes a change of bed linen and towels.

A car is recommended for this location.

There is free parking on the property or on the street.

Because it is a rural area, there is potential for noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

Due to the climate, there are also insects and lizards in the rural surroundings, which can be attracted by food scraps. For those who are uncomfortable with the presence of insects and geckos, we do not recommend accommodation in a rural area.

People who are sensitive to mosquito bites are advised to use insect repellent when travelling around the island.

Increasing the number of guests implies a price increase of up to 10% per person.


CONDITIONS

1. Parties and behaviour that disturbs the peace and well-being of neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10pm and 8am when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, the time of arrival and the means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival times is available via a key safe whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For face-to-face check-in, an appointment is required and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be booked according to our availability.

4. Guests may be asked to present identification upon arrival and to provide missing identification data to fulfil legal requirements.

5. Guests must inform us of any allergies, conditions or special needs before or immediately after booking in order to verify compliance and appropriate measures can be taken.
