Cute, quirky and full of character, Dutch Cottage is a beautifully renovated 1930s waterside cottage tucked beside its own basin just off the main River Bure in Horning.
Built in 1934 in its distinctive Dutch-barn style, the cottage has been lovingly updated throughout while retaining the charm that makes it a little different from your typical Broads holiday home.
With river views, a private mooring, plenty of fishing frontage and the village within walking distance, it's a lovely base for couples and families wanting to experience Horning from the water's edge.
Your own little corner of Horning
French doors open from the cottage onto the garden, where you can relax beside the basin and enjoy views towards the main River Bure.
There's plenty of waterside frontage for fishing during the open season, as well as a private mooring if you're bringing or hiring a dayboat.
A dedicated shed is also provided for storing fishing tackle. The large patio area is gated, providing some separation between the cottage and the waterside garden, while patio furniture gives you a comfortable spot to enjoy sunny days outdoors. Quirky on the outside, comfortable within Dutch Cottage may date back to 1934, but inside you'll find a bright, airy and homely space that's been completely renovated. The cottage has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with two single beds, sleeping four guests in the bedrooms, with a sofa bed in the lounge providing space for up to two additional guests. The fully fitted kitchen includes an electric oven, hob and grill, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There's also Sky TV, free Wi-Fi and an air-conditioning unit in the lounge/dining area, which can provide cooling during warmer weather and additional heat in winter. Leave the car and wander into Horning One of the great advantages of Dutch Cottage is its location. The Ferry Inn is within walking distance, while Horning's village shops, cafés, deli, pubs and restaurants are also just a short walk away. For days further afield, Wroxham is around a five-minute drive away, giving you an excellent base for exploring more of the Norfolk Broads. Needed a good clean there was mould in the bathroom and around the windows that would of easily come of with cif and a good scrub. Cobwebs and dusty given that we are in covid I would of expected a good deep clean.

With one or two enhancements the property would be excellent, for example the bathroom has no hooks or shelving , one cupboard in the kitchen was full of stuff that earlier residents had left which in the present situation is not a good idea .Also there were no instructions for the microwave ,the oven and the t.v.
